Transitional Review Mechanism
Transitional Review Mechanism: a mechanism established in 2001 under the protocol for China’s accession to the WTO to review annually for eight years progress made by China in bringing its trade regime into conformity with the WTO rules. The final review will be made after ten years. Information to be provided by China includes economic data, economic policies, its framework for making and enforcing policies, policies affecting trade in goods and services, and its trade-related intellectual property regime.
