Current domestic value
Current domestic value: a method for valuing goods to be imported for the assessment of customs duties. The value of the goods for duty purposes is the price at which goods comparable with those imported are sold under fully competitive conditions on the domestic markets of the country from which the goods were exported. This method has been superseded by the procedures contained in the WTO Agreement on Implementation of Article VII [customs valuation] of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.
