Decision on Conflicting Requirements: taken by the OECD Ministerial Council in May 1984 to give effect to the General Considerations and Practical Approaches Concerning Conflicting Requirements Imposed on Multinational Enterprises. This instrument asks OECD members that may be contemplating legislative action which may conflict with the legal requirements of another member to endeavour to avoid or minimize such conflicts through moderation and restraint and respecting the interests of others. It asks members, inter alia, to be prepared to (a) develop mutually beneficial bilateral arrangements for notifying and consulting other members, (b) give prompt and sympathetic consideration to requests for notification and bilateral consultations, (c) inform other members as soon as practicable of new legislation or regulations, and (d) give full
