Positive listings
Positive listings: countries may inscribe their commitments under the GATS in the form of positive listings. In this way, only the listed activities are covered by all GATS articles, importantly the market access and national treatment obligations. The disadvantage is that all services have to be listed even if there are no market access or national treatment limitations in the sense of the Agreement.
