RVLC (Reversible Variable Length Coding)
RVLC (Reversible Variable Length Coding) – Replaces the Huffman and DPCM coding of the scale factors of an AAC (advanced audio coding) bitstream. The RVLC uses symmetric codewords to enable forward and backward coding of the scale factor data. In order to have a starting point for backward decoding, the total number of bits of the RVLC part of the bitstream is transmitted.
